Joseph Fair Chiropractic

Built for athletes. Not a general practice that also sees athletes.

You train hard. You compete. You push your body past what most people consider normal. You need a provider who understands athletic movement, not someone who treats you the same as a desk worker with a stiff neck. Dr. Fair has spent over 12 years working with athletes across every sport and every level.

Recognize This?

Common signs you need help

Recurring injuries in the same area
Performance plateau despite consistent training
Joint pain that worsens with specific movements
Muscle tightness that stretching cannot resolve
Decreased range of motion affecting technique
Post-workout soreness that takes too long to recover from
Compensatory movement patterns during training
The Difference

Why athletes need a different approach

General chiropractic treats pain. Sports chiropractic treats performance. The difference matters. An athlete's body is under constant mechanical stress. Training creates micro-trauma. Competition demands peak output from joints and tissues that may already be compensating for dysfunction.

When an athlete comes in with shoulder pain, the question is not just "where does it hurt?" The question is: what movement pattern is breaking down, what is driving the compensation, and how do we correct it without taking you out of training longer than necessary?

Dr. Fair uses the Gonstead system for structural correction, SFMA for movement analysis, and Active Release Technique for soft tissue work. This combination identifies the root cause of athletic injuries and performance limitations, not just the symptom.

The System

How we work with athletes

Every athlete gets a full movement assessment. SFMA testing reveals which patterns are dysfunctional and whether the limitation is mobility, stability, or motor control. This data drives the treatment plan.

Gonstead adjustments restore structural alignment so your joints can handle the loads you put through them. Active Release Technique breaks adhesions in overworked tissue so it can contract and lengthen properly. Recovery modalities (cryotherapy, Class 4 laser, hyperbaric oxygen) compress your recovery timeline between sessions.

The goal is not just getting you out of pain. It is optimizing your movement so you perform better and stay durable longer. Many athletes who come in for an injury leave with better performance than before they got hurt.

Can I train while getting treated?

In most cases, yes. Dr. Fair will modify your treatment plan around your training schedule. The goal is to keep you active while correcting the dysfunction. Some acute injuries may require brief modifications, but the plan is always designed to minimize time away from your sport.
